(This event is re-scheduled from 19th March)
Every picture has a story
Responding to a suggestion from a couple of our members, this interactive event is an opportunity to talk about the perspective, intentions and insight behind some of your images.
With the notable exception of the Millennium Competition (where club members choose their favourite of all the 20’s awarded across the year), the scheduled competitions are the only opportunities we have to exhibit to other members of the club and the booked judge is the only person who gets to say anything about the images.
This evening is all about being more interactive; so members can exhibit images to the rest of the Club, explain their thought processes and what they were aiming to achieve. The audience will be able to offer comments so the author gets a variety of opinions and perhaps further ideas in place of just the one.
The emphasis will, of course, be on constructive discussion and we’ll have Amanda Wright on hand for some additional judging perspectives.
Your chosen images will obviously be PDI and we suggest that you submit a maximum of three, ranked in order of priority so that everyone who wants to, has a chance to show at least one image.
Please submit a maximum of three images, ranked in order of priority so that everyone who wants to, has a chance to show at least one image.
Submit your images via PhotoEntry using the 'Members' Interactive Gallery' folder inside the 'Ad-hoc Competitions 2019/20' folder. You must indicate the priority of your image by prefixing the PhotoEntry title with '1', '2' or '3' to indicate First, Second and Third priorities - for example:
1 Still Life
2 Isolation
3 One The Judge Hated
- substituting your own titles but retaining the 1,2 or 3 prefix.
