Membership
Potential new members are welcome to attend two free taster meetings before joining. One of our competition nights is a good place to start, as you’ll get to see the main way we share our images with each other, as well as how we learn to develop our skills through the constructive suggestions of an impartial (and friendly!) judge.
Once you decide to join us, our annual fees are:
Standard annual membership £40.00
Family membership for 2 people £60
Associate, under 25, or unemployed £20
Senior members holding a current Bus Pass or Freedom Pass £30
There is an additional £5 entrance fee at each Thursday evening session you attend as a member.

Guidelines on Taste and Decency
EHHPS has a strong reputation amongst Judges and other Clubs as a centre of excellence for Portrait photography, and our work has regularly included artistic nudes. We recognise the right of all members to enjoy every meeting in a non-threatening environment, without exposure to images which cause discomfort. All photographs that are shared at our meetings must adhere to our guidelines on taste and decency, which are given to all our members.
PAGB Guidance on AI
The PAGB have issued their guidance on AI, based on the discussion document of August 2023. The subject is covered in Issue 344 of PAGB eNews and the current guidance document is on the PAGB website
It seems likely that this guidance will be adopted by the CACC and by member clubs subject to individual committee decisions.
The basic principle the guidance seeks to fulfil, in the light of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning advances in Photography is:
“Images must be entirely the work of the Photographer. In composite images, all component images must meet this requirement. For the avoidance of doubt, use of images from any other source including, but not limited to, royalty free image banks and clipart are not permitted”.
Members are urged to familiarise themselves with the guidance.
Issue 344 also has a thought-provoking item asking the question: If you haven’t made the INPUT, can you claim the OUTPUT?
