More familiar to us as a judge, Lloyd has put together a talk on storytelling in stills photography and we are delighted to welcome him as our speaker for this week.

Lloyd’s talk demonstrates how to create images that have narrative rather than merely representing or documenting a scene; turning a 'nice' image into something that has atmosphere or meaning. Using his award-winning images as examples, Lloyd will show the before and after, the thoughts that went into capturing each image, what was done to prepare them for competitions, along with some PhotoShop techniques to create simple composites.

I love all kinds of photography but have a special interest in creative, imaginative images. To this end, I am always looking to explore new ideas and will usually book themed shoots. I also run regular photographic workshops, often with an emphasis on composite or portrait photography.
