Hitchin Lavender fields

As well as the lovely lavender fields, which should be at their best, there happens to be a fabulous cafe that serves a nice lunch and a number of rather gorgeous cakes at tea time. Ticket price is not yet announced for late July, but will probably be around £15. Some of us will be going in time for lunch, making a long day of it as the fields are at their most photogenic in the early evening (and less crowded too). Again, we will be driving in at least 2 cars, so if you think 1pm to possibly 8pm is too long a day, there will probably be flexibility to have a carload going for a shorter time span.
